Illness hits home

Well, my middle child is home ill today.  Some sort of stomach ailment of the kind that makes me thankful we no longer have to change diapers.  We’ll take all the prayers we can get that this doesn’t go around through the entire family.  Middle child is feeling better this afternoon but I wish child would rest/nap so that this whole episode passes faster.

It’s cold and dreary today.  Perfect weather for reading a book.  I’ve just discovered author Andrew M. Greeley and I am enjoying his series on the O’Malley family.  Now all I need is a healthy kid and a good cup of coffee or tea to sip while I read.

Enjoy your day.

"Among those around you, apostolic soul, you are the stone fallen into the lake. With your word and your example, you produce a first circle, and it another, and another, and another, wider each time. Now do you understand the greatness of your mission?" St. Josemarie Escriva: The Way
