I will do my best . . .

I believe service to others makes the world a better place. It’s important to remember that we are all human beings and we should help each other. One of my favorite movies at Christmas is Scrooge and the main theme is that those who have should help those who do not.

I would encourage everyone who reads this blog to contact a service organization of their choice: Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary, Scouts, etc.  Be an active member for 2 years and see if it doesn’t make a difference in your life.

I’ll end my spiel with this quote: “In life we don’t get what we want, we get in life what we are. If we want more we have to be able to be more, in order to be more you have to face rejection.” Farrah Gray.

And don’t worry, the service organizations won’t turn you away.  They’re looking for people like you-so help them find you by finding them.

"If you are what you should be you will set the whole world on fire."
St. Catherine of Sienna

I finally understand

"Among those around you, apostolic soul, you are the stone fallen into the lake. With your word and your example, you produce a first circle, and it another, and another, and another, wider each time. Now do you understand the greatness of your mission?" St. Josemarie Escriva: The Way
