The Death Penalty

My Monday morning muse is a short one today and a bit late.

“A body of men have no more right to take the life of a human being than an individual has.  A crime should not be punished by a crime.”     Walter Ehrlichman, an interpreter for Minneapolis’ municipal courts, in a letter to then North Dakota governor Roger Allin regarding a stay of execution for Myron Kent 1896.
