Monday morning muse

Is back.  All the quotes worth quoting one Monday at a time.  Today’s quote comes from an email forwarded to me by my husband.

“If you put the government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years there’d be a shortage of sand.”  Milton Friedman

Our government seems to be on a spending spree of late.  There’s a cartoon floating around that first ran in the Chicago Tribune in 1934, possibly on April 21st if the handwritten notation is anything to go by.  Look it up.  It’s rather enlightening.
